Students on Judith Pena-Shaff's Psychology Research Team received the Award of Excellence for an outstanding poster presentation at Eastern College Science Conference (ECSC)Contributed by Bernard Beins on 05/09/12 Senior applied psychology major Callie Lehrer received the award for the poster “Perceptions become a reality: Students’ perceptions of disciplinary practices.” This study was a collaborative effort involving psychology students Seren Ozkan, Andrew Fisher, Heather Morihara, Katherine Twitchell and Stephanie Strzepek all students in Dr. Pena-Shaff research team. You can do it any time of the day online from anywhere with a high-speed internet connection. Enter the world of this essential element as we explore questions such as: What is your water footprint? Why is water considered 'Blue Gold'? Why is water important in many religious rituals? We will use perspectives from the arts, humanities and sciences, with a focus on the global politics of water and sustainability and its media representations. Internet readings, videos, podcasts, guest lecturers and discussions link students with national and international experts. This course fulfills Liberal Arts Humanities and Social Science requirements. It also meets H & S Gen. Ed. Requirements for Self & Society + Global Perspectives. Summer Session 1 online 3 cr.
