Trinidadian author, lecturer and activist, Merle Hodge, visits Ithaca College during Caribbean Culture Week April 2nd-7th.

Caribbean Students Association invites the members of Ithaca College and the greater Ithaca Community to attend a session lead by Trinidadian author Merle Hodge on April 4th starting at 7pm in Textor 102. The title of the session is "Caribbean Literature and the Journey to Peoplehood".

Asma Barlas, professor and director for the Center for the Study of Culture, Race, and Ethnicity, gave an invited lecture at Wellesley College on her work on Qur'anic hermeneutics on March 14th.  Her visit was sponsored by several departments and the Muslim student organization, Al-Muslimat.
