Assistant Professor Nick Kowalczyk of the Writing Department appeared this week on a New Hampshire Public Radio show titled "Word of Mouth." Professor Kowalczyk was interviewed about the subculture of historical reenactors and a creative nonfiction piece called "Embedded with the Reenactors" that he recently published on Salon.com.

Ithaca College has announced the appointment of Linda Petrosino as the new dean of the School of Health Sciences and Human Performance. Petrosino — who holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in speech pathology from Ithaca College — has served since 2002 as dean of the College of Health and Human Services at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.

The Sakai-atrist is IN over Spring Break! If you are comfortable with the basics of Sakai and are looking for new, creative, and easier ways of using it in your courses, the CET is offering advanced topics led by IC's Sakai administrator, Mary Jo Watts.  The sessions are in a demonstration/discussion format and take place in the CET (Job 102).

Seven members of the Ithaca men's swimming & diving team have earned invitations to participate in the NCAA Division III Men's Swimming & Diving Championships, which will be held March 21-24 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. Six swimmers and a diver will represent Ithaca in the championship meet.All seven members of the team are competing for the first time at the national meet.

The 15th Annual Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF) is pleased to announce this year's cohort of graduate students of color.  11 graduate students from PhD program across the United States and Canada have been competitively selected.
