Roberto Herrscher, one of the most innovative voices in Latin American literary journalism of the past 20 years, will serve as a visiting scholar-in-residence for the launch of the Dr. John Keshishoglou (Kesh) Center for Global Communications Innovation.

Herrscher will be giving a public lecture on Thursday, March 8 at 7:00 p.m. in the Park Auditorium titled: “History and Personal Experience as Sources of Narrative Journalism: Why and How I Returned to the Falkland/Malvinas Battlefields 25 Years Later.”

Last year Information Technology Services surveyed 660 faculty members at Ithaca College to assess the current use and perceptions of instructional technologies, their current and future technology needs, and the barriers and motivators to using these technologies.  The final report is available online and ITS will present a highlight of the results in a live Adobeconnect webinar on Tuesday, March 6 at 3:00 PM.  Participants can watch from their homes or offices and pose questions via audio and chat.

New media artist and documentary film director Laura Kissel will be in residence at FLEFF from March 27 thorugh April 1, sharing her new multimedia project, Cotton Road: From South Carolina to Shanghai in a series of workshops, discussions and screenings. Kissel is an IC alum with a degree in cinema and photography.

The Ithaca College women's basketball team (23-4) has been chosen to host a four-team regional in the NCAA Championship Tournament. The Bombers will face Elms (20-8) in one semifinal Friday with Southern Maine (19-7) and Bowdoin (21-6) squaring off in the other. Friday's semifinal winners will meet Saturday at 7 p.m. with a berth in the "sweet 16" on the line. Ticket prices and game times will be announced by the NCAA later Monday.
