Nancy Menning (Philosophy/Religion) recently presented a paper at the annual meetings of the Eastern International Region of the American Academy of Religion. Her paper, "Wunderkammern as more than iconic: Watts's model of scriptures and the Book of Nature," was written for the first annual meeting of the recently-formed Society for Comparative Research on Iconic and Performative Texts (SCRIPT).

According to the Department of Energy, computing/office resources have become the 3rd largest energy user in office and academic buildings, behind heating and cooling.

Angus Godwin is still an active solo recitalist, although his main focus is now on teaching. His students have accomplished many successes and perform as members of the The Metropolitan Opera, regional opera companies such as Dallas Opera, in leading Broadway Production roles such as Titanic, Wicked, and Phantom of the Opera.  He also taught Aaron Kelly, a recent semi-finalist on American Idol. 
In teaching, his focus is on developing the individual voice so that the singer should be able to sing for hours without tiring.  Teaching each student to sing for long periods, without stress or strain, is his objective and he demonstrates that with proper technique, one should be able to sing with ease and freedom beyond the age of 80.

ITS will be upgrading the Oracle software for Parnassus Financials and Human Resources (including Payroll) system in early July. The final schedule has not been set, but we anticipate that the upgrade will start no earlier than Wednesday July 6th at 4:00pm and no later than Friday July 8th at 12:00pm and run through the weekend.
