Donathan Brown, a 2010-11 predoctoral diversity fellow in Communication Studies, has authored an article that will appear in the spring/summer issue of the Journal of Race and Policy. "The Strange Life of Assimilation in the National Language Debate" incorporates materials related to "Intercultural Communication," a course recently taught by Professor Brown at Ithaca College.

Eight students and two faculty were elected to the Sigma Xi research honor society for 2011. Founded in 1886, Sigma Xi is the international honor society of research scientists and engineers, who were elected to membership because of their research achievements or potential. The Paulen A Smith Chapter at Ithaca College was founded in 1966.

Melissa Buck '13, recently won the bronze prize in the 2011 Computer Security Awareness Poster and Video Contest in the poster category. The host of the contest, EDUCAUSE, is a non-profit organization that focuses on the intelligent use of technology in higher education.

Seniors-we are so close

We have secured 439 senior class donors and met our donor goal of 411!!!!  Thanks to the seniors that have given to the 2011 Senior Class Gift Campaign.  If you haven’t given, there is still time because we haven’t met our dollar goals.

Our next participation challenge is to exceed the Class of 2010! They secured 481 senior class donors, the highest number in IC’s history.

  • Congratulations to Senator of the Year Robert Flaherty and Eboard Member of the Year Julia Dunn!
  • Thanks to everyone for a tremendous year and don't forget to go to IC Kickback tomorrow 2-6pm on the Fitness Center Quad
  • The new board ran the meeting last night and announced their official goals for the year and have great work they're planning on doing
  • We finally finished constitution revision, and adopted an event planning committee as well to help plan more awesome events like Black Jack Black Tie and the Paint Party
  • Look out for more awesome things to come on our website, good luck on finals, and have a wonderful and safe summer!

The main ITS public computer labs will follow the regular academic schedule until Friday, May 13th. Please see our public labs website for details on the end of semester lab hours. CHS will be open additional hours on Saturday 5/7 from 12pm-5pm.

The last day to receive computer repair service from the Student Computer Repair Center will be on Monday, May 9th at 7:00pm. All computers must be picked up from the SCRC by 7:00pm on Wednesday, May 11th. For complete details about SCRC services and rates, please visit the SCRC site.
