(81 words) In the spirit of Autism Awareness Month, the Exercise Science Club, in collaboration with the Jowonio Pre-School of Syracuse is hosting a kickball tournament on May 1st, starting at 2:30pm. The event will be held on the soccer fields behind Emerson Hall. It is open to all students, faculty, and staff. Admission to the event is $3 per person, however you must enter with a team! Campus-Community Coalition Sponsors Forum on Underage DrinkingContributed by David Maley on 04/26/11 Updates on outreach and awareness strategies tied to alcohol abuse and underage drinking will be the focus of a public forum on Thursday, April 28, from 7–8:30 p.m. in the fellowship hall of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, at the corner of Court and Aurora Streets in downtown Ithaca. The forum is sponsored by the Campus-Community Coalition, a group led by staff from Cornell University, Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College that works collaboratively on shared challenges and interests. The Student Leadership Institute is a series of interactive workshops designed to help students develop and refine personal and organization leadership skills. Leading @ IC is a new track developed this semester in the Student Leadership Institute. Unlike the other tracks, Leading @ IC is specifically designed to improve leadership skills and development within a student organization. The target audience for these workshops is student organization members. We are in the process of looking for presenters for Leading @ IC series in the upcoming academic year. If you have any experience in or with a student organization and have a skill that you think will benefit members of student organizations please fill out the proposal form on our website at: https://www.ithaca.edu/sacl/osema/leadership/proposals/ In the past, we have had presenter's lead workshops on a variety of topics that included: running an effective meeting, transitioning, IC Link training and many more! Thank you! An article by Nancy C. Cornwell was recently published in Media Arts & Law Review, the University of Melbourne Centre for Media and Communications Law's international law journal. Cornwell’s article was titled, “Free Speech, Media Access and the Limitations of the American Liberal Tradition of Free Expression.“ She is a professor and chair of the Department of Television-Radio.
