"HOW RACISM TAKES PLACE: WHY THE MARGINS MATTER NOW"
This year mark's the 5th anniversary of the 
Ellen Szeide from the African Conservation Experience will be on campus TODAY (Wednesday) to talk about volunteer opportunities with the African Conservation Experience, a southern Africa-based wildlife conservation organization.
Content providers from across Ithaca College have been able to host public content to everyone in the world through the iTunes U section of the iTunes Store. Additionally, there is a mechanism to host content that is restricted to only the IC community. Apple is requiring a transition of the public content to their new public site interface on April 12. End users of public content will have a new interface and content providers will have to manage their public content using the new Public Site Manager.
Computer scientist David G. Stork will tell — and show — how computer image analysis is changing our understanding of art in a free public talk at Ithaca College on Thursday, April 14. The talk, entitled "When Computers Look at Art: Image Analysis in Humanistic Studies of the Visual Arts” will take place at 7 p.m. in Textor 102. You may never see paintings the same way again after this lecture, which will be generously illustrated with works by Pollock, van Gogh, Jan van Eyck, Hans Memling, Lorenzo Lotto and others.
Jay Sokolovsky, professor and chair of anthropology at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, will visit Ithaca College on Thursday, April 14, to give a talk "Will We Grow Up Before We Grow Old: What America Can Learn from the Global Response to the Age of Aging" The talk which is free and open to the public will begin at 7 p.m. in Emerson Suites, Phillips Hall.

This award, which will be given every four years, recognizes outstanding and distinguished teaching in undergraduate music theory courses.
