(164 words) January 6th Cashiering Services and Financial Services (including Accounts Payable) Office HoursContributed by Lynn O Eastman on 01/04/11 On January 6th all Financial Services offices (including the Cashiering Services window) will open at 1pm to allow our staff to participate in our divisional Winterfest. Staff Council wishes to remind everyone that the State of New York prohibits smoking in the public areas of all buildings within the state. As such Ithaca College has an established smoking policy (https://www.ithaca.edu/attorney/policies/vol2/Volume_2-20810.htm) that directly addresses this for the campus community and provides a listing of the designated outdoor smoking areas. The College is required to enforce public health law and cannot allow smoking in public spaces. President Rochon stated at one of the All-College Staff Meetings that we are all responsible for the enforcement of this policy and should politely remind people when the need arises that smoking is prohibited in vestibules and entrance ways. Outdoor Smoking Areas: Open areas located a minimum of 20 feet away from entrances to enclosed areas, common points of ingress and egress, operable windows, and all types of HVAC air handling and circulation systems. No mail delivery on this day.Contributed by Karen Serbonich on 01/03/11 Between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 6, all Mail Services staff -- including the Phillips Hall Post Office -- will be attending their divisional winter festival. There will not be morning delivery or collection of mail. We will resume mail delivery and pick on Friday, January 7th. The afternoon Express collection at the Phillips Hall Post Office, The PRW building and Alumni Hall will occur at the usual time. The Mail Center will not be staffed and will be closed for shipping during this time. The Phillips Hall Post Office will not be staffed from 8:30am – 1pm.
