IC Link's upgrade will help your organization stand out, market to and connect with all students on campus. There are many new features that will help increase the promotion and communication of your organization.

Each organization can upload photos, create and design their profile with its own unique header and colors, post to a wall, send messages to all members, track service hours and advertise their events with new flyer board.

Organizations can also create documents, hold elections and survey students through IC Link. If you have questions please attend the training session on October 20th, @ 7pm in Textor 103.

Team members of the men's and women's crews will be available to hire on Sunday afternoon, November 7.  We can rake leaves, move furniture, clean garages, pull out docks, paint fences, dig ditches, and handle an assortment of other tasks.  If you want to hire workers for the afternoon simply e-mail us at iccrew@ithaca.edu or call Coach Dan at 274-1266.

Workers can be picked up on-campus at the Textor hall flagpole on Sunday, November 7 at 1:30pm.  Each worker costs $40 with a two-worker/$80 minimum.  Questions?  Contact the Coach on e-mail.

The Office of Residential Life is offering an early off-campus release guarantee to the first 400 students who apply for off-campus status for Fall 2011. October 18th will begin this year’s off-campus application process and it will be on-going until the Office of Residential Life announces its close. There will not be a separate off-campus process occurring in the spring.

Jonathan Ablard, History, presented "The Latin American Obesity Crisis in Historical Perspective" at the October Latin American Studies Association meeting in Toronto, Canada. Preliminary research on the project was conducted with Kristen McClune, History, (Class of 2011) who did the work as part of a Fred L. Emerson Humanities Collaboration Award during the Summer of 2010.

IC NaNo, the on campus support group for the novelist in all of us, will meet for the first time this year on Wednesday, October 20th at 7:00pm in Williams 211.

Prof. Julia Cozzarelli delivered the keynote speech at Montclair State University for the Teaching Italian Symposium: Technology--Getting with the Program, on Friday, Oct. 15th. Her speech focused on the theory and practice of integrating multimedia, in particular YouTube videos, into the Italian language classroom. Following the keynote speech, she and Prof. James Pfrehm held a workshop for conference participants. Entitled "Using video, music and film to enhance the Italian language learning experience," the workshop covered textbook web resources, YouTube, and Web 2.0 technologies and services, such as blogs, voicethreads, and Overstream.

All IC faculty are invited to submit summer session undergraduate course proposals. Summer sessions this year are scheduled:

May Session -- May 16 - 27, 2011
Summer Session I -- May 31 - July 1, 2011
Summer Session II -- July 5 - August 5, 2011

Course proposal deadline: November 30.
