I wish to announce a reorganization that has resulted in the Office of Marketing Communications moving from the Division of Institutional Advancement to the Division of Enrollment Management. Marketing communications joins the Office of Admission and Office of Student Financial Services in reporting to Eric Maguire, vice president for enrollment management.

Peter Orlando, a recent graduate of Ithaca College, has been named to the United States National Team that will compete in the 2009 World Rowing Under-23 Championships, to be held July 23-26 in Racice, Czech Republic. The announcement was made Monday by USRowing, the national governing body for the sport of rowing.

The Friends 110 computer lab will be undergoing some renovations this summer and beginning Monday, July 20th our open lab hours will be held in Williams 210.

Starting at 8:00 am on Saturday, asbestos abatement work is being done in front of the Job Hall data center and switch room, an area which houses many campus servers. Should any of these servers experience problems and require a system administrator to physically access a machine in that area on Saturday, ITS will be unable to respond to the problem until the asbestos work is done, sometime Saturday afternoon.

ITS will keep the campus community informed of any unplanned outages through the System Status Line (607-274-3282, option #1) and the System Status Notice on the ITS website, www.ithaca.edu/its/.

Journalists from around the world will spend a week at Ithaca College learning how to use multimedia and alternative resources for gathering and disseminating news in their respective countries. Scheduled for July 20-24, the Multimedia Workshop for International Journalists was developed by the Department of Journalism in the Roy H. Park School of Communications.
