Calling All Musicians!

Calling all musicians! Have you been wanting to play in orchestra since coming to college, but haven't had the time or the opportunity?

The Ithaca College Sinfonietta is a newly formed orchestral ensemble open to all Ithaca College and Cornell students. All string, wind, brass, and percussion players -- music majors and non-music majors alike -- are encouraged to join. No audition is required.

As of Monday, December 15, everyone using Intercom to submit a story will see a more user-friendly interface!

A new WYSIWYG editorial tool -- WYSIWYG is short for "what you see is what you get" -- will be added to Intercom. This means that anyone submitting a story (via the "Contribute and Manage Stories" page) will see a graphics-based WYSIWYG that they can use to format the text of the story, encode hyperlinks, and so forth. It is the same tool used by the Web Profile Manager (WPM); but even if you're not a WPM user, it should not prove difficult for anyone familiar with modern word-processing software.

We are excited to share that we are moving even closer to our overall goal for the United Way campaign here at Ithaca College. We are over 87 percent and moving ever closer to our institutional goal of $70,000.

Student supervisors: do you have students who need to drive College-owned or leased vehicles for your department? Pass along the following information to your student drivers.

Please be sure that you review the student driver handbook yourself so you are aware of what rules the students need to follow. Any procedure not followed could mean suspension of driving privileges for your student drivers.

These are the ONLY classes available for students driving in the summer 2009 months.

You should also encourage students who will be driving at the start of school in the fall to take one of these classes.
