Student Driver Safety Classes

Student supervisors: do you have students who are 21 years and older and need to drive College-owned or -leased vehicles for your department? Pass along the following information to your student drivers. Please be sure to review the student driver handbook yourself so you are aware of what rules the students need to follow. Any procedure not followed could mean suspension of driving privileges for your student drivers.

The indoor pool (in the Hill Center) will be closed Monday for the Labor Day holiday.

However, the outdoor pool (adjacent to the Fitness Center) will be open instead from noon to 7:00 p.m.

The Department of Occupational Therapy is pleased to announce its partnership with the Ithaca Free Clinic. Faculty and students will provide free occupational therapy services to medically uninsured residents of Tompkins County, on site at the Ithaca Free Clinic in downtown Ithaca.

Adoption Support Group

The Ithaca College Adoption Support Group will meet on Thursday, September 4, from 12:10 until 1:00 p.m. in the Six Mile Creek Meeting Room on the first floor of Phillips Hall (Campus Center).

The Adoption Support Group is designed to provide support and information to campus community members who have experience with adoption or foster parenting in any way. Our members include adult adoptees, siblings of adopted children, adoptive parents, foster parents, and those considering adoption. Students are welcomed.

The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen film series will feature the documentary, For the Bible Tells Me So, on Thursday, September 4, at 7:00 p.m. in Williams 323.

In the film, five Christian families -- including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopal bishop Gene Robinson -- discuss how people of faith may handle the realization of having a gay child. Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, orthodox rabbi Steve Greenberg, and Reverend Jimmy Creech, For the Bible Tells Me So offers healing, clarity, and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.
