ITHACA SUPPORTING EDUCATIONAL EQUITY DEVELOPMENT (I-SEED) is seeking volunteers to assist with supporting programs in the Ithaca City School District.

Professor Roberta Wallitt has been working on a project in conjunction with the Village at Ithaca and as a Civic Leader Fellow with the Cornell Public Service Center that involves encouraging Ithaca employers and their employees to participate in efforts to support students in the Ithaca City School District.

In the last 15 months there has been an increased incidence of syphilis identified in Tompkins County, including on the Cornell campus. A number of cases have involved men who have had multiple sexual partners, both male and female. To date, there have been no cases identified within the Ithaca College community.

Frishman's talk will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 16, in Emerson Suites. The lecture is free and open to the public.

Crime Prevention Information

Since March 25, 2008, several "strong arm" robberies in the Collegetown area have been reported to the Ithaca Police Department. The site of these robberies have been in the area adjacent to the west side of the Cornell University campus on East Hill.
