Mail Service Delays

Following the Labor Day Holiday, Mail Service is experiencing significant delays to our normal mail/package processing timetable.

Incoming deliveries are extremely high in volume, and exceed our daily processing capacity. Please allow an extra day or more as we work to catch up. EXPRESS/OVERNIGHT shipments are still expedited for same-day pickup.

Problems with Mac OS and SurePDF

Mac users may encounter “protocol” errors when printing to WebCRD using SurePDF. The developers are working on the problem. A workaround is to create a PDF and upload to WebCRD. We will update the Ithaca College Community once this has been solved. 

Model United Nations info session

The Ithaca Police Department has reported that a shooting took place shortly before 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 4, outside the Green St. Parking Garage adjacent to the downtown Ithaca Commons. They report that one individual was taken to a trauma center, and the suspect or suspects in the shooting are believed to be still at large.

Anyone who might have information on this incident should contact the Ithaca Police Department at 607-272-3245.

Politics professor, Asma Barlas, was part of a cohort of alumni of the Graduate School of International Studies (GSIS), University of Denver, Colorado, who were invited to team-teach an interterm course on the Impact of Race, Ethnicity and Culture on International Relations, from August 19-30. The course was offered partly in response to some alumni’s interest in diversifying the curriculum of GSIS, now the Josef Korbel School of International Studies. The other alumni were Dr. Ahmed Samatar, James Wallace professor of International Studies and founding dean of Macalester’s Institute for Global Citizenship, and Dr. Cindy Courville, the first African-American ambassador of the US to the African Union. The course was organized by professor Edward Thomas Rowe, a former dean of GSIS.

 The Hammond Health Center will be closed from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Thursday September 5, 2019, so that our staff can attend the Student Affairs and Campus Life Retreat.  No services will be available during this time.  The Health Center will reopen at 3 p.m. for appointments.  Medication pick up will also be available after 3 p.m.
