The Voter Registration and Election Committee has developed a website to give the Ithaca College community easy access to information about voter registration. The site includes information about voter registration across the country, important election and registration dates, as well as nonpartisan sites to visit for information on the candidates.
On Wednesday, December 12, from 2-3:00pm in the Cayuga Lake Meeting Room in the Campus Center, the Presidents Climate Commitment Committee will tune into a special webcast titled "Climate Change and Higher Education: Leadership to Achieve Climate Neutrality." The campus community is invited to attend this webcast, which will feature the president of Arizona State University and other educational leaders.
Congratulations to Doreen Hettich-Atkins on her third place win at the District 65 Toastmaster Conference, on November 17, 2007, at the Clarion Hotel.
Ithaca College will celebrate the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on January 21, 2008, with its first ever "Day On, Not a Day Off." As this year's holiday falls on the usual first day of classes, President Peggy R. Williams has declared this to be a day of reflection, learning, and celebration. Students will not have classes and the campus community will participate in a variety of activities throughout the day.
