Syracuse Symphony bass trombonist Jeffrey Gray will give a free faculty recital on Wednesday, February 14, at 8:15 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. He will be joined by pianist Andrea Merrill, trombonist Harold Reynolds, and members of the Ithaca College Trombone Troupe. The program features music of Sachse, Woud, Pederson, and Gregson.

Los Angeles Program Director Stephen Tropiano served as a judge for the 28th Annual College Television Awards sponsored by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. The Awards, which are given annually for excellence in student-produced entertainment and informational programming, will be handed out in Los Angeles on Saturday, March 31, 2007. Stephen belongs to the Academic branch of the Television Academy, which is open to faculty, students, and recent grads.

Tropiano also recently published an essay, "Different From the Other(s): German Youth and the Threat of Homosexual Seduction" in Youth Culture in Global Cinema(University of Texas Press), the first anthology devoted to the portrayal of young in international cinema.
