The Ithaca College Off Campus Living Coordinator is collecting impact statements from community members, staff, faculty and students. Impact statements will be used as a restorative justice tool for students found responsible for violating the community agreement. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below.

We are thrilled to announce the appointment of four Dana Teaching Fellows in the Center for Faculty Excellence. New fellows who will start in January 2021 are Sarah Fishel (Physical Therapy) and Enrique Gonzalez-Conty (Modern Languages and Literatures). New fellows who will start in August 2021 are Lisa Farman (Strategic Communication) and Joe Ungco (Occupational Therapy).

It has come to our attention that two weekends ago, two businesses in Ithaca, Moosewood Restaurant and Sunny Days of Ithaca, were vandalized with various anti-Semitic and racist posters and graffiti. This is the second of two occurrences, the first of which took place only a week prior at a local chiropractor’s office in downtown Ithaca. Both the owners of Sunny Days and the aforementioned chiropractor’s office are Jewish.

 As you may or may not have heard by now, there have been a few antisemitic and racist hate crimes committed in Ithaca.
 
On behalf of the Student Board of Hillel at Ithaca College, we would like to extend our support to our entire community. As students, we know this is a scary and overwhelming time in more ways than one, and we want to be a resource. We are proud to stand together as a Jewish community and we hope to find strength as we move forward together.

Six HSHP students formed two groups to compete at the 30+ hour Penn State Healthcare Management National Case Competition at the Undergraduate Level during the weekend of Oct. 30- Nov. 1. We are very proud of these students who set aside their regular studies and lives to engage in this stimulating intellectual and team building experience. Our two IC teams competed in a pool of 11 undergraduate teams on a case proposed by Geisinger Health System on Medicaid Expansion in Pennsylvania.
