Kids for Cash: the documentary explores the scandal that rocked Lucerne County, PA. No less than a two hour drive from Ithaca, NY, the documentary explores the case of two judge who where recieving compensation for sending minors to jail to increase occupancy at for-profit dentention centers. Over a thousand children were convicted of simple crimes. We will see the effect of incarceration on juveniles as well as the for-profit prison industry that dictates our criminal justice system. There will be a brief discussion after the documentary and light refreshments provided. Time: 7-9pm Location: Textor 102
