After competing in the qualifying round of the contest, the top 30 teams in the country were selected to contend in the Media Plan Case Competition semi-finals. This elite event challenges students to think strategically and dive into the deep-end of marketing impressions, numbers and budgets. The six top teams in the semi-final round will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Washington, D.C. to compete for the National Excellence in Media Award and $16,000 in scholarships. Read more . . . (274 words) Ithaca College Student Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association to receive the 2019 National ACDA Outstanding Student Chapter awardContributed by Sara Jacobs on 02/20/19 The Ithaca College Student Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) has been chosen to receive the 2019 National ACDA Outstanding Student Chapter award. In the letter informing the chapter members, David Edmonds, ACDA National Student Activities Chair, said “the impact you have had on your own student members, your campus, and the choral community is making a significant contribution to the field of ensemble singing.” The award will be presented at the National Conference in Kansas City on Wednesday, February 27. The Executive Board of the Ithaca Chapter include Cameron Costello, Maggie Storm, Juliana Child, Kristy Shuck, Torie Brooks, Nicole Cronin, Keilah Figueroa, Danielle Gurcan, and Laura Stedge. Dr. Janet Galván is the Chapter advisor.
