Dorianne Laux is the author of five poetry collections —The Book of Men, The Book of Women, Facts About the Moon, Awake, and What We Carry — which have been awarded The Paterson Prize and the Oregon Book Award and been finalists for the Lenore Marshall Poetry Prize and the National Book Critic's Circle Award. Also the co-author of the The Poet's Companion: A Guide to the Pleasures of Writing Poetry, Laux teaches poetry at North Carolina State University and is a founding faculty member of Pacific University's Low Residency MFA Program. She has received fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, and has been a Pushcart Prize winner.& Read more . . .
