This summer, Associate Professor Cynthia Henderson (Theatre Arts) delivered the Keynote Address at the Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE) in Brazil to open the Inaugural Research Symposium exploring the work of Gilberto Freyre, a renowned sociologist. Her speech highlighted the intersection of the disciplines of actor training and Theatre of the Oppressed, and has gone on to be used in a number of classes at UFPE.

Dr. Mary Condé taught Shakespeare at the Ithaca College London Center from 2014 to 2017. Always a lively presence and a much-valued member of the London Center faculty, Mary passed away on June 25th of this year.
