In my message on May 1st, I shared with you a comprehensive update on the changes that were taking place within the Division of Student Affairs and Campus Life. At this time, I would like to reiterate the major changes and provide a few more updates on where we are in this collaborative process. Again, I want to emphasize that the vision for the work that we are doing will 1) continue to be student-centered, and 2) be innovative and intentional in supporting our students and helping them thrive during their time at Ithaca College and beyond.

In an attempt with staying current with the changing classroom technology, AV Services is ending support for old analog transparency overhead projectors in support of the new digital document cameras. Document cameras provide the ability to place any paper, book, or object under the camera, located on the instructor podium, which projects the image to the LCD projector or display.

Ithaca College Natural Lands received two private foundation grants for $15,000 each to support construction of a paved access path to the Boothroyd Woods Trail.  Jake Brenner, ICNL Faculty Manager and ENVS professor, has worked with students during the past three years to improve the ICNL trail system and increase accessibility.

The Office of Student Financial Services will be closed between 10am and 1:30pm on Monday, August 27th while staff welcomes our new IC Bombers at Convocation.  The office will be open from 8:30am to 10am and from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.  Regular office hours are Monday-Wednesday & Friday 8:30-4:30 and Thursday 11-4:30.  We can be reached by phone at 607.274.3131 or by email at sfs@ithaca.edu .

 

Beginning Monday August 27th regular permit parking requirement will resume.
