Ithaca College is partnering with the Food Bank of the Southern Tier to bring a mobile food pantry to our campus. The food pantry will be back this week - Wednesday, March 7th, in the A&E Center! Additional dates for the rest of the semester can be found below.

Students may still sign up on Homer for one credit hour courses connected to the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival. Some courses have traditional meeting times, others are weekend courses. 

Want to learn about how social conflict is portrayed in film, or about the geography of drug use, or perhaps about why some films are more popular than others...and so on? Review the courses online and sign up on Homer. Most courses are listed under GCOM on Homer.

Need a break from studying?  Looking for an excuse to get food off campus?  Stop by Panera on Wednesday, March 7th between 4:00 and 8:00pm!  The Ithaca College Association of Health Professionals (ICAHP) will receive a portion of the proceeds made during this time, and we will be using the funds to host a variety of networking and workshop opportunities.  Please present either an electronic or hard copy of the attached flyer when you make your purchase.  Thank you for your support!

 What are you doing for spring break? From Sunday, March 11- Friday March 16 think about volunteering on a service trip to the Romero Center in Camden, NJ where you will volunteer at a variety of social service organizations including places such as soup kitchens or after school programs. 

The Romero Center is named after Oscar Romero, a priest from El Salvador, who spoke out against injustices committed against the poor.

IC Unites for HER, an organization that raises money to provide complimentary therapies to women and men in our Ithaca College community diagnosed with breast cancer, is having a meeting next Wednesday (3/7) at 7pm in Friends 205. We will have an important guest speaker from the Cancer Resource Center in town. We are partnering with the Cancer Resource Center in hopes to find a recipient of our grant, so it will be an important meeting! If you have any interest in joining the club or learning more about this organization, please come to the meeting! Hope to see you there!

Due to severe weather during the last screening, The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen series at Ithaca College will host a second showing of the documentary “Free CeCe!” on Wednesday, March 7. Free and open to the public, the screening will be held at 6 p.m. in Textor 101.

The Out of the Closet and Onto the Screen series will host a showing of the documentary “Check It" on Tuesday, March 6, at 6 p.m. in Textor 101. 

At first glance, they seem unlikely gang members. As vulnerable gay and transgender youth in Washington DC, they’ve been shot, stabbed and attacked. Once victims, they’ve now turned the tables. Started in 2009 by a group of bullied 9th graders, now Check It members are creating their own clothing label, putting on fashion shows and working stints as runway models. Life for the Check It can be brutal, but it’s also full of hope and an indomitable resilience.
