The eighteen elected members of the Commission are vested by NASM with the authority to grant or deny accreditation for music programs in the United States. NASM reports to the US Department of Education and serves as both a specialized and “gatekeeper” accreditor for more than 650 accredited programs. The Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management congratulates Patrol Officer Corinne Searle on her recent graduation from the Broome County Police Academy.
