The Ithaca College bargaining team is disappointed that the contingent faculty unions have announced that they have voted to authorize a strike. This announcement comes despite the fact that there has been significant and meaningful progress made to date in the negotiations for a part-time faculty contract—having reached tentative agreements on 23 separate articles—and that negotiations with the full-time contingent faculty are still at an early stage.

The College’s applicant tracking system, PeopleAdmin, will be used to house and maintain job descriptions for staff positions effective February 28, 2017.  Change requests to job descriptions for existing positions as well as requests for new position descriptions will be managed through this system.

Romulus Linney’s one-act play “Can Can” is set to take the Earl McCarroll Studio Theatre stage in Ithaca College’s Dillingham Center. Performances will be held on Saturday, February 18th at 8:00 pm, Sunday, February 19th at 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, and Monday, February 20th at 8:00 pm. “Can Can” is a student directing project directed by Aaron Roberts ’17, who is also serving as the production’s scenic designer.

The Office of International Programs and Extended Studies (OIPES) would like to invite all staff and faculty interested in taking students abroad to attend our upcoming workshop about  the development and planning of faculty/staff-led short-term study abroad programs.  The workshop will be held on Friday, February 17, from 3:00-4:30 pm, in the Taughannock Falls Room, Campus Center.  Participants are invited to stay for a wine and cheese reception with the workshop facilitator and International Programs staff from 4:30-5:00.
