Short-term study abroad is a great way to expand your horizons and satisfy degree requirements without missing a full semester on campus!

If you will be studying abroad in the Winter or Spring of 2017 on ANY affiliated, non-affiliated, or exchange program (NOT the London Center), you must attend one or two study abroad orientations, as well as meet with an adviser in the Office of International Programs (OIP) to go over required Ithaca College paperwork.

The EASDC (Educational Affairs Staff Development Committee) will be hosting their first Fall Social Fundraiser event on Monday, November 21 from 11:00-1:00pm in Klingenstein Lounge. This event is open to ALL staff and faculty!

There will be a silent auction from 11:00-12:30pm which includes gift baskets donated from departments across campus. Winners will be announced at 12:30pm. You must be present to win silent auction items! You can see more information about all the great donation items at http://events.ithaca.edu/event/easdc_fall_social

Smaller items and a couple of larger baskets will also be available with the purchase of raffle tickets. 1 ticket for $1.00, 6 tickets for $5.00, and an arm’s length for $10.00.

The LGBT Center is hosting a social for asexual students and their allies Wed. Nov 30 at 3:30 pm in the LGBT Resource Room (located on the lower level of Hammond Health Center). Warm up with some hot beverages, eat delicious snacks, and meet new friends in the LGBT Resource Room. All students are welcome.

Please join us on Tuesday, November 29 for the Fall Faculty Scholarship, Research, and Creative Inquiry Fair. 

This is a chance for people across department and school lines to learn more about the exciting pursuits of their colleagues and to engage with one another as members of a common learning community.

The Research Fair will take place from 3:30- 6:30 pm in the Klingenstein Lounge of the Campus Center with the first half-hour being a time for greeting and gathering.  We will enjoy wine, appetizers, outstanding presentations, and excellent conversation.

At 4:00 pm the presentations will begin and will feature 5 minute lightning round talks of faculty research, scholarship and creative practices.

The Fitness Center will be closing at 2:00pm on Friday 11/18/16, and will remain closed for the duration of Thanksgiving Break.  We will resume our regular academic year hours on Monday 11/28/16.  Please visit the Fitness Center website for a complete listing of hours.

As a courtesy, Island Health and Fitness will be offering reduced price guest fees throughout Thanksgiving break for all Ithaca College faculty and staff.  A valid Ithaca College ID must be presented to be eligible for the discount.  Any guests who do not have an Ithaca College faculty/staff ID will be required to pay full price for a guest pass.
