We continue to encounter PDF documents that print incorrectly with fonts and sizes that are substituted or resized from the original document.  This occurs when a PDF is attached after logging in to WebCRD.  In these cases, the fonts are not imbedded in the PDF document that has been attached but the preview will look fine.  The best way to ensure that your documents print correctly and that your department will not be charged for the corrected reprint is to only submit using the SurePDF driver.

Print Production is charging for all reprints.

All faculty planning to conduct research or classroom activity involving any kind of nucleic acids or any potentially bio-hazardous material, including pathogens, biological toxins, or human cells, tissues, organs or fluids must obtain prior approval from the Institutional Biosafety Committee before undertaking that activity. This committee provides federally-mandated oversight of activities that present risk of infection or illness in humans.

Federal guidelines require that applicants possess prior experience with a particular agent or procedure, and those supervising the activity should be familiar with proper safety precautions, procedures involving storage, and disposal. A link to federal guidelines can be found on the Institutional Biosafety website – https://www.ithaca.edu/sponsored-research/biosafety/.

Campus Center Dining Hall is CLOSED today for lunch due to the IC Community Picnic at the A&E Center today (11:30-1:30). 

Terrace Dining Hall is open from 11:30 AM until 2:00 PM for lunch and Towers Dining Hall is open continuously until 7:00 PM. 

Campus Center Dining Hall will open for dinner from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Terrace Dining Hall is also open for dinner from 5:00 PM -8:00 PM

 Professor Srijana Bajracharya publishes an article at the International Journal of Sustainability Education.

Srijana Bajracharya from the Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education published a data-based article titled, “Students’ Awareness, Values, Perceptions, and Behaviors toward Environmental Sustainability (ES): A Comparative Study,” in a peer reviewed journal, the International Journal of Sustainability Education.  The paper was presented at the 10th International Conference on Environmental, Cultural, Economic and Social Sustainability at Split, Croatia, in 2014.

The Fitness Center's fall group exercise schedule is now available on our website.  Classes will begin on Monday 8/29/16 and are free for all students, faculty, and staff unless otherwise noted.  Class sign-ups are made available 30 minutes before the scheduled start time for each class.

If you've never tried a group fitness class or just want to meet a few of our instructors we will be offering a mash-up event on Monday 8/22 from 4:00pm - 5:00pm immediately followed by a yoga class from 5:00pm - 6:00pm.

As we begin the new academic year, I wanted to give you an update on our progress from the Presidential Search Committee. We met and communicated many times during the summer months. Our search firm partner, Spencer Stuart, has been hard at work identifying target profiles, contacting candidates, validating their accomplishments against our desired attributes, and working with us to define a list of candidates for us to meet and interview.

As part of the print management program, we are pleased to announce that mobile device printing is now available! Students can send print jobs from various mobile devices to a WebPrint printer, and print the job from a WebPrint Release Station in various locations on campus!
