During this period, full-time employees will work two fewer hours (37-1/2 hours reduced to 35-1/2, 40 hours reduced to 38 hours) and receive their usual compensation. War, Hunger, and Genocide: An International Health Perspective Summer Session II The primary course topics of war, hunger, and genocide are viewed as interconnected factors. These are influenced by political, economic, and social conditions within countries as well as by foreign policies and national self-interests that exert power to marginalize groups, commit human rights violations, genocide, and produce poor health outcomes. Recent and current conflicts placed within a historical context will be the focus of our analysis. Particular emphasis will be placed on the plight of the poor and other marginalized groups in relation to health and disease. This includes addressing questions of power, morality, and international law such as those promulgated by the United Nations. She has spent the past 22 years working in the college’s Office of Admission, serving since June of 2015 as interim director.
