We Two Alone, a collection of stories and a novella by Jack Wang, associate professor in the Department of Writing, has been included in the list of Best Canadian Fiction of 2020 by CBC Books. It has also been named one of the 2020 Books of the Year by Quill & Quire, Canada's leading magazine of book news and reviews, and one of the 2020 Books of the Year in fiction by 49th Shelf, a website dedicated to Canadian literature.

Matthew Clauhs, an Assistant Professor of Music Education, recently published a book with Routledge titled "Popular Music Pedagogies: A Practical Guide for Music Teachers." The book provides a foundation for playing and teaching a variety of instruments associated with popular music and examines relevant technologies. 

By providing culturally responsive and learner-centered opportunities through popular music education, the authors hope to create inclusive and creative music-making experiences for all students.

The paper, "The Power of Words," explores how the language utilized by healthcare providers can influence a patient's recovery process. This year, the Ithaca College Composition Department is pleased to be hosting the annual National Student Electronic Music Event (NSEME), one of the most important events for students working in electronic music. This is an entirely student driven conference, usually reserved for doctoral students, but a small group of Ithaca College Senior Composition students will be organizing an entirely remote Conference to take place in April 2021.
