Mindfulness is our ability to be present and aware of ourselves. By paying attention to what is happening in and around us, we can make space for our overwhelming emotions. This presence becomes more natural when we engage in a daily practice. Over the course of this 6 week class, we will learn a Mindfulness Meditation technique and work on designing a daily habit. The installation of new multi-function printers across campus will commence on Tuesday, March 30th, and continue on Tuesdays throughout the remainder of the spring semester. These printers will replace the old outdated devices and will enhance printer security, provide greater access to printing for the students and help reduce institutional expenses since their cost per page is significantly less then the older devices. The Information Technology team will be coordinating the deployment of the new printers with each department to ensure the specific locations and appropriate training occurs prior to installation. The Ithacan was honored with a Silver Crown award by the Columbia Scholastic Press Association in conjunction with the Spring National College Media Convention held online March 18-20, 2021. The award was presented in an online ceremony on March 20. The paper also won Third Place for Best Newspaper and Fourth Place for Best Website in the conference’s Best of Show competition. The Crown Awards are the highest honors presented by the CSPA. The Ithacan is a consistent Crown Award winner. Read more . . . (92 words) |
