Dr. Natasha Zaretsky Generations of Memory: Reflecting on Holocaust Testimony, Gender, and Survival in Contemporary Buenos Aires Friday, April 24th Free and open to the public Dr. Natasha Zaretsky, Visiting Scholar at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights at Rutgers University, will deliver this year's Rachel Siegel Lecture. Zaretsky is a cultural anthropologist focusing on human rights, migration, and the politics of memory in the Jewish diaspora in the Americas. Read more . . . “You Can’t Take It With You,” by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart, was first performed in 1936 and won the Pulitzer Prize in 1937. Seeing a play that is almost 80 years old might be confusing at times, but junior Theatre Studies major Danica Kelly can help with that. Kelly is the assistant director of “You Can’t Take It With You,” the final show of IC Theatre’s season. As part of her duties, Kelly researched many of the references made in the show that are mysteries to audiences in 2015. Kelly has condensed her research into the dramaturg notes that are featured in the play’s program. These notes give us a glimpse into the 1930s New York City that the play’s characters inhabit.
