Ithaca College Director of Intercollegiate Athletics & Recreational Sports Susan Bassett has announced the hiring of Will Rothermel as Associate Director of Athletics for Compliance, Facilities and Events. Rothermel is a highly-successful athletics administrator with proven success and demonstrated achievement at the NCAA Division I and Division II levels.

The Ithaca College Chamber Orchestra’s final concert of the 2014-15 season on April 21—beginning at 8:15 p.m. in the James J. Whalen Center’s Ford Hall—will challenge the norms of classical performance, adding layers of motion and design seldom seen in a traditional concert setting.  

Dressed in white, the members of ICCO will perform a choreographed program featuring 20th century composers—without pause—intertwined with theatrical images and virtual environments projected on the walls and ceiling of the hall, as well as on the performers themselves. Featuring special guest faculty soloists Elizabeth Simkin on cello and Jennifer Hayghe on piano, the event is free and open to the public.

Beginning at 3 p.m. this Wednesday, April 15, the U-Lot (Campus Center Lot) will be closed as reserved event parking for the Izzy Awards occurring in Emerson Suites.  The lot will be available for regular usage until that time, while beginning at 3 p.m. vehicles parked in the lot earlier in the day will be able to exit but not re-enter the lot.

 Join IC Project Sunshine on Saturday April 18th in order to decorate 'Sunny Grams' (greeting cards) which will be sent to children staying in medical facilities across the country. We will be in Williams Hall, room 310, from 1 - 3 pm. IC Project Sunshine will provide all the supplies such as cards, markers, crayons, and stickers.

The Ithaca College Latin American Studies program is hosting a two-day Latin American Studies conference, Friday, April 17th - Saturday, April 18th in the IC Campus Center.  MACLAS--the Mid-Atlantic Council on Latin American Studies--will bring 120 Latin Americanists to campus to celebrate this year's conference theme: “Altered States: Cross-disciplinary explorations of tradition and the emergent in Latin America.”
