The Office of Extended Studies is seeking a Student Programs Assistant to support our summer programs and office operations for 10-20 hours per week during the SPRING semester, continuing on a full-time basis during the SUMMER months. On campus summer housing is available.

On Friday March 20th come by IC Square to try Ithaca Dining Services' very own Smokin’ Good Gouda Mac N’ Cheese! This Mac N’ Cheese event is a sneak preview of the Mac N’ Cheese Bowl that is to be hosted at Ithaca High School on Saturday, March 21st, where individuals can vote for best Mac N’ Cheese in town! ALL proceeds from these sales will benefit FoodNet’s Meals on Wheels program. If you love Mac N’ Cheese and helping a cause, come down to IC Square and try it yourself!

Bryan M. Roberts, associate dean in the Roy H. Park School of Communications, has been selected to participate in the U.S. Army War College National Security Seminar.  The National Security Seminar is a one-week event that creates an environment for Army War College students and distinguished guests to examine current national security issues and exchange candid dialogue. NSS takes place during the first full week of June, immediately preceding graduation, and serves as a capstone event that enhances student learning through exposure to a cross section of American perspectives.

NSS provides a forum for distinguished speakers to discuss their views on issues of importance to the nation's security and welfare with students, International Fellows, and faculty of the Army War College as well as new members from across the country.

A representative of our affiliated study abroad provider Spanish Studies Abroad will be on campus this Monday, March 23 to present an information session and hold a table in the campus center. Spanish Studies Abroad runs programs in three cities in Spain (Alicante, Barcelona and Sevilla); in Córdoba, Argentina; in Havana, Cuba; and in San Juan, Puerto Rico.  All of their programs have a strong focus on cultural immersion and language acquisition.

Assistant Professor, Lisa Barnard, from the Department of Strategic Communication published an article in the Journal of Broadcasting & Electronic Media. The article is "Eliciting Behavior From Interactive Narratives: Isolating the Role of Agency in Connecting With and Modeling Characters" and it focuses on using using interactive narratives online.
