Chrystyna Dail, Associate Professor of Theatre History in the Department of Theatre Arts, published an article in the 2020 edition of Theatre History Studies (Volume 39). The article, "When for "Witches" We Read "Women": Advocacy and Ageism in Nineteenth-Century Salem Witchcraft Plays" addresses four plays written between 1846 and 1893 using the Essex County witchcraft crisis as their backdrop. The article includes analysis of how these witchcraft plays grappled with the early women's rights movement as well as exploring the social problem of ageism practiced against women.

As a follow up to the November 16th All Staff Meeting, all staff are invited to a Zoom Webinar focusing on our future student enrollment. This presentation, hosted by Laurie Koehler and Bill Guerrero, was originally presented at the All Faculty Meeting earlier this month.

Dear Campus Community:

When Howard and Connie Clery advocated for transparency on college campuses after the loss of their daughter, Jeanne, in 1986, they did so to prevent other families from experiencing similar grief and pain. Through their tireless advocacy at the local, state, and national levels, the Clery family called for campuses across the United States to publicly disclose crime statistics and various campus safety policies and procedures. The evolution of the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, also known as the Clery Act, has inspired campuses to build and establish partnerships between disciplines to enhance the safety and security of all members of the campus community.

Per the Clery Act, Ithaca College and the Office of Public Safety and Emergency Management is responsible for preparing, publishing, and distributing an annual report by October 1st of each year. Due to the global pandemic, the Department of Education extended the deadline for publication of the report to December 31st.
