Ithaca College ITS is pleased to announce that the Park School of Communications is the first building to enter into the testing phase for their new Wi-Fi environment. Between now and October 3rd we are continuously monitoring the performance of the network and are asking the Park School community for feedback on any issues.

I am pleased to announce that Dean Leslie Lewis has agreed to chair the search for the Assistant Provost for Finance and Administrative Operations. Joining her on the search committee will be Diane Long, Associate Professor and Chair of the Occupational Therapy department; Yuko Mulugetta, Director of Enrollment Planning; Robert Cree, Associate Vice President for Business and Finance; and David Pacun, Interim Associate Dean of the School of Music. Please join me on Thursday, October 2 for the second Faculty Colloquium of the academic year.  

Dr. Katherine Beissner, Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy and fellow of the Ithaca College Gerontology Institute, will be presenting “Pondering Pain:  Lessons from the Big Apple and Beyond”

While Dr. Beissner enjoys working in a variety of physical therapy areas, her primary research interest is in geriatric pain management through the use of cognitive and behavioral self-management strategies. Her recent research examines how race/ethnicity, socioeconomic status, health history, social support and physical abilities affect the function and quality of life of older adults.
