The purpose of this communication is to call attention to various modifications of the Ithaca College Parking Policies. In the interest of affordability and efficiency, the Parking Services team, in collaboration with the College’s formal Parking Policy Committee, conducted research and benchmarking in order to assess the current policies and identify potential areas for improvement. This communication highlights those modifications which were approved for implementation beginning with the 2014 – 2015 academic year. Read more . . . Faculty Adviser Needed for Fall Break Trip to Rescue Mission in Syracuse, NY!Contributed by Don Austin on 08/14/14 The Office of Student Engagement and Multicultural Affairs (OSEMA) will be sending students on two volunteer trips during the 2014 Fall Break. One adviser is needed for trip that will take place at the Syracuse Rescue Mission. The RM campus has an emergency shelter, day center and serves three meals a day at their food services center. On any given night, they have over 250 men sleeping under their roof. Each day, volunteers at the Rescue Mission serve over 725 meals to men, women and children who are food insecure. Trip advisers will assist by accompanying students on their volunteer excursion, helping with oversight during the trip, managing the group's funds while on the trip, and assisting with driving responsibilities. Students who have an on campus address will have their mail processed with the new address to be sorted into their mailbox opening weekend. You may pick up your mail at the Mail Center until then. Students who have a current local off campus address will have their mail forwarded to their new local address. Students not living on campus that have not notified the Registrar of their new local off campus address will have their mail forwarded to the permanent address on file. A Faculty Director of Service Learning will be responsible for the support and advancement of service learning and a lead staff member will be responsible for the support and advancement of student volunteer activities. Both will serve under the oversight of the Director of Civic Engagement whose job will be to bring coordination to our volunteer and service learning efforts along lines of national best practices.
