Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a relationship directly between consumers and farmers based on an alternative socio-economic model of agriculture and food distribution. Before the growing season starts, consumers purchase a “share” of the farm, which helps pay for a portion of the farm’s expenses. In return for purchasing a “share” of the farm, consumers receive a “share” of the harvest.

Jason Harrington won a grant in Electronic Media and Film from the New York State Council for the Arts (NYSCA) for his latest project, Breathing In.

Harrington, an assistant professor in the Department of Media Arts, Sciences and Studies, is producing and directing the short animated film and also creating a related exhibition/video installation. Breathing In is "a creation story, comprised of modern takes on ancient myths, images borrowed from religious iconography, and pagan symbolism. It follows the journey of a woman through the stages of creation as symbols morph into worlds and planets are eaten by dragons."

His other animated film, My Mind, has continued to screen across the country, and was recently selected for the upcoming Beijing New Youth Film Festival (BNYFF).

The campaign to build the new backstop at Ithaca College's Freeman Field brought out the best in the Bomber family. This spring, players, spectators, students, and families had the chance to enjoy the improvements and have taken tremendous pride in these upgrades.

To celebrate this accomplishment, the baseball program is hosting a ceremony to officially dedicate this new aspect of our beautiful facility -- and the entire campus community is invited.

The dedication will be held at 5:30 p.m., Friday, July 20, at Freeman Field and will be attended by head coach George Valesente '66, M.S. '75, College president Tom Rochon, members of our current team, Bomber baseball alumni, and members of the community.
