(110 words) Janice Levy's photography and volunteer work featured in IPE articleContributed by Melissa Gattine on 11/14/11 The Institute for Photographic Empowerment (IPE) is featuring an article and photographs by Prof. Janice Levy in the Department of Cinema, Photography, and Media Arts. The feature describes Levy’s 2011 work in Saudi Arabia and the Disabled Children’s Association (DCI) in Riyadh. Levy spent her 2010-11 sabbatical year teaching photography to young women at the recently established Princess Nora University (PNU). One of her outreach projects was to help disabled children explore their world through photography in a partnership between PNU and DCI. The article, which includes six photographs, most of them taken by the disabled children, is available on line through the end of November at joinipe.org, the IPE website. Read more . . .
