 Buzzsaw Magazine, Ithaca College's premier alternative publication, has expanded its web presence this semester with new, daily content. 

In addition to publishing three issues each semester (our most recent issue, The 9/11 Issue, is available now throughout campus or online), the magazine now publishes multiple new, web-only posts a day. These posts include news analyses, original reporting, local coverage, comical essays and musings, photo galleries and slideshows, and personal essay.

The Department of Anthropology is offering a course in Puerto Rico!  The Anthropological Experience in Puerto Rico: Playas, Primates, Plants and People is a field-based course offered during the winter intersession December 28, 2011-January 14, 2012.

A Festival Celebrating the 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Liszt

In September and October 2011, members of the Ithaca College School of Music piano faculty, IC piano performance majors, guest lecturers and esteemed alumni will all be participating in a festival celebrating the 200th anniversary of the birth of the great pianist and composer Franz Liszt. Titled “The Dualities of Liszt,” the festival will explore various “sides” of Liszt’s musical personality and the different aspects of his inestimable contributions to music.

A representative from i>clicker, a student response system (a.k.a. clickers), will be on campus on Tuesday, October 11.  A demonstration of this system will be in Job Hall 312, at 2:15 pm. This system allows instructors to poll students in a class and record and project immediate results.

Greens’s talk "Intersex: What Is It, And Why You Should Care" will take place on Thursday, October 13 at 7:00 p.m downtown at the First Unitarian Society, 306 North Aurora Street (the corner of Aurora and Buffalo Streets in downtown Ithaca), in conjunction with an LGBT community gathering in commemoration of National Coming Out Day.
