Ithaca College Theatre returns Oct. 4 with its 8 p.m. production of ‘Plumfield, Iraq,’ written by award-winning playwright Barbara Lebow and directed by Cynthia Henderson. Performances will continue Oct. 6th-8th and 11th-15th at 8 p.m. with two 2 p.m. matinee performances Oct. 9 and 15. All performances will take place in the Clark Theatre in Dillingham Center.

14850.com, recently launched an iphone app to help community members navigate the TCAT system.

The app can determine where the user is and then display the right route or routes to get them where they're going. It will offer multiple options where available, letting the user pick the best option for them based on their preferences for least walking, fewest transfers, or shortest total time.

The app was developed by David Kornreich, an assistant professor in Physics, in conjunction with 14850.com, a news and information source for Ithaca and Tompkins County community. Ari Kissiloff, an assistant professor in the Department of Strategic Communication is the President and CEO of Public Communications, Inc., a local business and marketing firm, that publishes 14850.com.

Although we always welcome new bus trip ideas from everyone at IC, here are our ideas for 2012. In keeping with our annual tradition, all faculty and staff are invited to join the hundreds of alumni and other friends returning to campus for Fall Splash, IC's alumni weekend, to be held October 14–16. And this year's celebration includes something extra special: the dedication of the new Athletics and Events Center.

Faculty and staff are entitled to a free ticket to the Fall Splash picnic, which will take place on Saturday, October 15, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the Campus Center quad. Additional tickets for spouses/partners may be purchased for $25 per person; children 12 and under are free.

This session will examine modern digital audio capture techniques and the software used to create audio files for inclusion in podcasts, Sakai, and iTunes U.
