The communication of this policy provides consistency for all buildings and facilities on campus with the current rules in all of our residence halls that do not allow animals/pets. The College needs to provide a safe and healthful environment for all to work and live. Animals/pets can pose a threat to the health and safety of the campus community as well as to a healthful educational environment through allergy, excessive noise, animal bites, and disease transmission (fleas, ticks, viruses, parasites, etc.). All members of the campus community are required to comply with all aspects of this policy and the relevant local government laws and ordinances regarding dog and cat management. Employees and students who fail to comply or who interfere with the implementation of this policy, including relocation of animals, will be subject to corrective or disciplinary action. The College may require any person with a pet to remove the animal from campus grounds. Read more . . . The customer service window for student package pick up and for dropping off pre-paid FedEx and UPS shipments will remain open the entire week 8:30am-4:30pm. Read more . . . The National Student Speech-Language Hearing Association (NSSLHA) hosted a conference on May 7th, 2011.
Calling hours for former longtime speech communications professor Constantine “Gus” Perialas will be held on Friday, May 13, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a Trisagion Service at 6:45 p.m., at St. Catherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 120 West Seneca Street in Ithaca. Funeral services will be held at the church on Saturday, May 14, at 10:30 a.m.

Chemung Transit Route 30X between Elmira and the Cornell campus supports commuters living in or near Elmira, Breesport, Erin, Van Etten, Spencer, Alpine Junction, Lockwood, Van Etten, Spencer and Newfield. Route 30X would drop off commuters at the Green Street transit station (near the Library downtown), allowing connection to TCAT Route 11 to campus. Do you currently ride a Chemung Transit bus to work? Would you like to try commuting to work by bus?

Two Ithaca College students, Abigail Lind and Briana Bender, have been named Killam Fellows for 2011-12. They will spend the Spring semester of 2012 studying in Canada as part of the prestigious Killam Fellowships Program.
