The film, “Bound by Hope, One Family's Story,” features a Pennsylvania family as they struggle with their 4-year-old son's debilitating and rare condition, F.O.P. which causes the bones to calcify and harden, severely limiting movement. There is no cure for this disease. The filmmakers, all television-radio majors, produced their winning project for their Video Workshop class last Fall, and previously completed the Documentary Workshop course in their junior year. The viral launch will take place on Sunday, April 10 with a premiere at the opening night of the Finger Lakes Environmental Film Festival (FLEFF). The event takes place at Cinemapolis, located downtown, at 7 p.m. Audience members will participate in the launch by using mobile devices to connect with their friends to promote the series on social media networks. Producers, directors, and actors will introduce the episodes and answer questions at the screening. A gala reception follows at the Finger Lakes Wine Center. The series will launch for viewing at www.uncorked.parkproductions.org on the same day. Read more . . . The paper, "The Complex Challenge of University Branding: Where’s the Pedagogy?" was authored by Peruta; Scott Hamula, associate professor in the Department of Strategic Communication; and Diane Gayeski, dean in the Park School of Communications.
