Ithaca College Theatre will wrap up the calendar year with Paula Vogel’s drama, “How I Learned to Drive.” The show is directed by Wendy Dann and tells the story of Lil’ Bit as she unfolds the secrets of her abusive and unsettling childhood. This show is intended for mature audiences and presents challenging themes.

The Reggie Simmons '75 Memorial Award Informational Meeting
Come meet last year's recipients and learn about their experience in Africa

The Reggie Simmons Memorial Award will recognize the extraordinary accomplishments and contributions of Reginald Leigh Simmons, Ph.D. Simmons ’75 devoted his life to the people of Africa and this memorial award will provide the opportunity for two students with majors in the Park School of Communications or politics to follow in Simmons' footsteps.

Susan Allen-Gil travelled to Denver with other IC faculty to participate in AASHE's 2010 Conference and Expo. She served on panels and sessions addressing the Copenhagen Climate Change Conference, IC Climate Action Plan implementation, climate education, international sustainability education, and a panel entitled "Is It Time for a Revolution?," again demonstrating Ithaca College's leadership role in addressing climate change and sustainability issues. 

Christianne Enos ’10 and Joann DeLanoy ’10 recently received Advertising Women of New York (AWNY) Scholarship Awards.

Christianne is majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications with minors in Psychology and Sociology. She has completed internships at TBWAChiatDay in Los Angeles, and, most recently, at IBM in Armonk, NY. Her internship at IMB was awarded to Christianne through the AAF Stickell Internship Program, which designated her as one of the top 15 AAF students in the United States.

Joann is an Integrated Marketing Communications major with a minor in International Communications. She has served as a marketing intern at Ashworth Creative in Poughkeepsie, NY, and as a digital intern at Beyond Consultancy in London, UK.

Both students are actively involved with the American Advertising Federation (AAF) chapter on campus.

Dean Diane Gayeski recently published a chapter titled, "Creating and Leading Effective Virtual Teams," in The 2011 Pfeiffer Annual on Consulting (Elaine Biech, editor).

The 2011 Pfeiffer Consulting Annual is a ready-made toolkit of ideas, methods, techniques, and models that assist and support a professional’s work as an internal or external organizational consultant.

Homer, Blackboard, Nova, Pulsar, Memphis and ACE/ARGUS will be unavailable for a 24-hour period over the weekend of 11/19-11/22. The downtime is necessary in order for the storage area network (SAN) disks, which are used to store data and other files, to be upgraded. Each system will be down for approximately 24 hours according to the following schedule:

Elizabeth Sheehan, assistant professor in the department of English, delivered a paper at the Modernist Studies Association Conference on Friday, November 12th, 2010, in Victoria, British Columbia.  Her paper was entitled "'Capturing the spirit of the age': F. Scott Fitzgerald's Fashionable Designs," and she presented it as part of a panel whose subject was "Celebrity, Embodiment, and Modern Authorship."
