Ron Jude, associate professor in the Department of Cinema, Photography and Media Arts, was interviewed for Ahorn Magazine about his photography project titled, Other Nature.

Other Nature was also featured in an exhibition at Gallery Luisotti in Los Angeles this summer.

Todd Schack Publishes Chapter

Todd Schack, assistant professor in the Department of Journalism, had a chapter titled, "Perpetual Media Wars: The Cultural Front in the Wars on Terror and Drugs" published in the edited volume of The War on Terror and American Popular Culture: September 11 and Beyond.

John Finn, an environmental engineer who specializes in the cleanup of subsurface coal tar contamination, will present a discussion of his work and career at the Environmental Studies & Sciences Department's environmental seminar series next Tuesday, 22 September at 4:00 pm in CNS 112.

The Ithaca College Chamber Orchestra will open its season with a free concert in the intimate acoustics of the Hockett Family Recital Hall on Monday, September 21 at 7 pm. Conductor Jeffery Meyer will be joined by faculty colleagues Richard Faria, conductor; David Parks, tenor; and Alex Shuhan, French horn for Benjamin Britten’s “Serenade for Tenor, Horn, and Strings.” Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s serenade number 12, for wind octet, will round out the program.

REDWING: VOICES FROM 1888, poetry monologues written by Dr. Katharyn Howd Machan of the Department of Writing, will be presented at Kennesaw University (Marietta, GA) as a fully staged theatrical production, under the direction of Dr. John S. Gentile, September 22-27. Dr. Machan will visit the campus as visiting poet to give a reading and a workshop in conjunction with the production.

The Conference & Event Services and Campus Center Office full-time staff will be attending an off-campus meeting on Tuesday, September 22, 2009.  There will be students staffing the office from 8:30am - 5:00pm to assist you.

ShortLine/Coach USA is offering an express charter bus to the Boston area for fall break.

This bus will leave from the parking lot by the Park School at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 14, and will return Sunday, October 18, at approximately 8:30 p.m.
