The Park Sustainability Club will host a screening of the documentary, Flow: For Love of Water, preceded by a reception that honors the photographers participating in the Park sustainability photo exhibit on Wednesday, April 22, in recognition of Earth Day.

The reception will take place in the Park Hall lobby at 8:30 p.m. The screening will follow in Park Auditorium.

The Park sustainability exhibit features work from five student photographers: Ronni Zager '09, Emma Strachman '09, Kristen Gerringer '10, Nick Lareau '09, and Devan Johnson '12. Their work will be featured on the Park lobby display screens. The exhibition is sponsored by Park School's TREES Institute (Teaching and Research in Environmental Ethics and Sustainability).

Patricia Zimmermann, professor of cinema, photography and media arts, delivered an invited lecture at the University of Iowa on April 11.

Her lecture, entitled "Migratory Archives: Documentary across Platforms," analyzed the significant shift in documentary modalities towards collaborative remix projects with live music, locative media, and web-based collaborative design and archival projects.

Strike in Concert

The piano-percussion duo Strike, comprised of pianist Jeffery Meyer and percussionist Paul Vaillancourt, will give a free recital on Monday, April 20, at 8:15 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall at Ithaca College.

All the music on the program was composed in 2007 or 2008 specifically for these performers by Chen Yi, Daniel Koontz, Brooke Joyce, and Jim David.

Jazz Ensemble Concert Sunday

On Sunday, April 19, at 8:15 p.m., the Ithaca College Jazz Ensemble will perform their last free Ford Hall concert for the year in the James J. Whalen Center for Music. 

Pianist Bill Dobbins will be the guest artist and soloist for the evening. From the Department of Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media at the Eastman School of Music, Dobbins has collaborated with such musicians as Clark Terry, Paquito D'Rivera, John Goldsby, and Al Cohn, and has performed under such classical conductors as Pierre Boulez and Louis Lane.

Hailed as one of Molière's most entertaining and enduring plays, Tartuffe is the comic story of a scheming hypocrite who cons a family into believing he is a pious man in order to steal their fortune. The IC Theatre production of this classic of French dramatic literature is directed by Professor Greg Bostwick.

Performances will be offered at 8:00 p.m. on April 21, 23, 24, and 25. Matinee performances will be offered at 2:00 p.m. on April 25 and 26.
