Award-winning essayist and novelist Scott Russell Sanders will give two public presentations at Ithaca College as part of the Distinguished Visiting Writers Series, hosted by the Department of Writing. Sanders will deliver a lecture, titled "Honoring the Ordinary," on Tuesday, September 25, at 7:30 p.m. in Klingenstein Lounge, Egbert Hall. On Thursday, September 27, he will give a reading from his works at 7:30 p.m. in Clark Lounge, Egbert Hall. Both events are free and open to the public.
The Bookstore's online textbook adoption system will be available on Friday, September 28, for the spring 2008 semester. The online textbook adoption window will be open from September 28 through October 30.
Noted environmental author and social critic Bill McKibben will speak on "Building the Climate Movement" on Wednesday, September 26, at 7:00 p.m. This event will take place in David Call Auditorium in Kennedy Hall at Cornell University. 
The second of our fall series of Sustainability Cafés will take place at 4:00 p.m. in Friends Hall room 201. Tina Nilsen-Hodges and Elan Shapiro, educators from EcoVillage at Ithaca, will consider the spectrum of sustainability solutions as a system of complementary strategies that we can engage with more consciously -- and sustainably -- rather than in a piecemeal or overwhelmed way.
