Art history professor Stephen Clancy presented a paper entitled, "Politicizing the Canon: Simon Marmion and the Agendas of Nationalism" at the 28th Medieval and Renaissance Forum at Plymouth State University in New Hampshire, held April 27-28.

Lauren O'Connell, associate professor of art history, presented a paper in February entitled, "Voillet-le-duc and Solntsev: Preserving Patrimony in France and Russia" at a Solntsev symposium sponsored by the New York Public Library and the Harriman Insititute.

The Ithaca College Early Music Ensemble will present a free concert of music performed on historically appropriate instruments on Thursday, May 3 at 7pm in the Hockett Family Recital Hall. Directed by Nicholas Walker, the performance will include music of Händel, Marcello, Telemann, Castelo, Gabrieli, Morley, Stephan, and Pasquini.

Members of Glimmerglass Opera’s acclaimed Young American Artists Program will present a free concert featuring the music of Jacques Offenbach at Ithaca College on Friday, May 4. The performance will begin at 8 p.m. in the Hockett Family Recital Hall in the James J. Whalen Center for Music.

The NCAA has announced pairings for the 2007 Men's and Women's Tennis Championships. The Bomber men's team will face Southern Maine Friday, May 4 in a regional quarterfinal hosted by Middlebury. Ithaca's women's team takes on Simmons Friday, May 4 in a regional quarterfinal at Bowdoin.
