Though the Fitness Center will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 22nd, due to unforeseen extensive maintence, the exercise area will be CLOSED. Some of the cardio equipment has been moved to the hallway and the aerobics room for your use. The men's locker room will not be available on Tuesday, November 22nd.

Professor of Politics Asma Barlas was invited to give
a talk at the Wilshire Boulevard Temple in Los Angeles
on Nov. 15th as part of an event called "Women and
the Word."

It included presentations on narratives in the Old
and New Testaments and the Qur'an by three
women scholars: a Jew, a Christian, and herself.
The talk was moderated by Rabbi Stephen Julius Stein.

Jesse Ellis, 1999 Leisure Services major co-authored a chapter entitled, "Increasing Youth Voice" in "Recreation and Youth Development," a texbook written by Linda A. Caldwell and Peter Witt. The texbook is published by Venture: State College, NY.

The IC Culinary Arts Club is hosting "A Night Under the Stars" buffet dinner on Thursday, December 1, 2005 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Tower Club Restaurant (located on the 14th floor of the East Tower).
