Nancy Pringle has been a dedicated member of the IC family for 25 years. Her blood runs blue and white, her heart sings Ithaca Forever.

We are so excited to invite you to celebrate Nancy’s years of service to Ithaca College. Throughout her 25 years, she has served as Vice President and General Counsel / Secretary to the Board, Senior Vice President of the Division of Human and Legal Resources, and in her current role as Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor to the President.

Please join your colleagues on May 13 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Peggy Ryan Williams Lobby for a retirement party to be remembered.

There will be refreshments, live music from a few of our very talented student musicians, as well as an opportunity for those interested to share fun stories and great memories about Nancy.

Do you want to learn more about the creative process, developing your own ideas through inquiry based learning?

The Art Department is now offering a series of ART seminars, including one for freshmen and one for sophomores. These early seminars are one credit and are designed to help you develop your own content through material experimentation and research. You will also learn about critique models, arts resources, contemporary artists and how to document your work.

There are still spots open for Fall 2019 in:

Take Educational Psychology ONLINE through Ithaca College SUMMER 2019 SESSION (May 13-24) FROM HOME

Educational Psychology explores the study of human development from infancy through adolescence, including cognitive and behavioral approaches to learning in the context of school and other instructional situations. This course is required for the Education Studies Minor and the Teacher Education preparation track.

VoiceThreads are posted daily for each reading and give an overview of the main theories and concepts. In addition, daily assignments and quizzes are posted in advance of their due date, allowing students to schedule their completion of work on Sakai by the deadlines.

Start summer off the right way! Join a volunteer trip to Acadia National Park with the Alternative Breaks Program! We are currently looking for one student who is 21 years or older, and has had a valid driver’s license for the past 2 years to help drive IC vans for the program. Take Back the Night is Tonight!!

Take Back the Night is a unique event that brings together campuses and our local community in one powerful voice to raise awareness about the impact of domestic and sexual violence. To accomplish this, there are 3 marches: one from Cornell, one from Ithaca College and one from downtown Ithaca, all convening together on the Commons.  Marchers will be meeting tonight, April 26th, at 6:00pm at Textor Ball!

Voting for Student Governance Council positions and Senior Class Council executive board is OPEN until 5pm today!

I am very proud to share that our Analytics and Institutional Research (AIR) team has made three presentations and one panel discussion at HEDW (Higher Education Data Warehousing) Forum, April 14-17 in Ann Arbor, MI.  All presentations were well received by the participants. IC’s efforts to build a strong data management infrastructure in cloud (Analytics, Data Warehouse, and Data Governance) is now widely recognized at the national level.

The IT Service Desk will be open from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 27th in support of the Admission spring open house event. All members of the campus community are welcome to contact us for technology support during this time. Telephone, email and walk-in support will be offered. 

Please note that dispatch service is not available during these special hours; any issues that cannot be resolved by the on-duty analysts will be entered into our ticketing system for follow up during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm).
